Right is wrong in 2012

Ninety-degree right angles have been replaced with softer 45-degree angles in today’s home architecture. Wings of garage bays tilt off the main house foot print. L-shaped homes of the past have been gently reshaped to feature rounded corners and even the right-angle square windows of yesteryear are dull next to the round and half-round windows used to complement more traditional shapes.

The softening of harsh right angles speaks to the home being a personal retreat, a getaway and a place to tuck in that feels like a safe haven for its residents.
